Introducing the Norne Drausk Series. A new 16-wire highest purity copper occ litz headphone cable with a giant 17.7awg per each polarity (equiv. 4 x 17.7awg). Released for the first time this Black Friday 2020, allowing 20% off for the launch of the series.
Please note: If you do not see your headphone in the drop down, simply contact us at NorneAudio@gmail.com.

Introducing our largest gauge copper occ litz headphone cable that we have ever released, the Drausk. This new series has its evolution and roots derived from our well known "Draug" Series, but implemented with new knowledge.
With 17.7awg per polarity and enlarged pure cotton cores in each of the TPU jacketed 16-wires, we have precisely refined the stranding and design to truly bring a new immersive experience. With this new gauge and design, the Drausk brings what we call "presence factor", or a greater immersive experience with your system and music. Taking our long experience in design (nearly 11 years) from a multi-stage evoltution that brought the Draug 3 cable, we improved things even further. With the Drausk, a drum solo comes alive with a true full bodied impact and weight, converying such a quality that you feel you are in the venue or in the room with the drummer. This is just one example, but quite simply you get lost in the emotion of the music, creating a very addictive quality. At the same time you are also getting the fantastic detail and transparency with this combined "presence factor" of the Drausk.
How it's made
The Drausk, like many of our cables, has a complex and fully hand produced process in manufacturing. We pride ourselves on braiding all of the thicker 16 wires precisely and painstakenly by hand (no machine braiding here). The end result is a quality and precision to the cable not achieved by other means. After each of the 16-wires are meticulously paired, they are then final braided with a square 8-braid for the full length by hand. After this is completed we utilize a temperature controlled thermal stripper to carefully strip a total of 32 individual wire ends. We then proceed to protect each of the polymer ends with a specialized material before tinning the litz wire in our molten solder pot (silver solder). After all 32 ends are tinned we then move to the primary soldering process, utilizing the well reputed Eidolic connectors along with silver solder as our default and standard. The final steps are finishing work and hotstamped labels if chosen, finally testing the cable in many systems before it is approved to be packaged. Our primary goal was not only to achieve a cable that reveals the clearest possible window to the music and performance, but also the ultimate range and emotion contained within your favorite performances.
Add the trimmings
Taking the labor a step further we also have a unique hand crafted (in-house) exotic wood splitter option in addition to our premium CNC machined metal splitters. Each of our exotic wood triangle splitters starts out as part of a block of wood (Zebrano, Caribbean Rosewood, M.Ebony, etc.). We precisely cut out our equilateral triangles to first be sent to our C02 laser engraver. Once they come back from our laser engraver we proceed to drill the holes, dremel, sand and polish. Finally we add our protective clear coat for a beautiful touch. Another great option, with the quickest ship time, are the premium metal splitters that we have done precisely via CNC to strict tolerances. There is a vast number of choices to fit your exact aesthetic preference.
Currently the Drausk is only available in the color shown on this page, but look out for more color options in the near future.
You have a 30-day money back policy with your cable, giving a safety net to try the Drekis in your system and experience the improvement for yourself. You also have a lifetime transferable warranty. We stand behind every cable that is shipped out.
All Headphone cables ship in our custom box and magnetic bags. Please note our current bags are black in color with logo.

IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard)
The IACS rating is the metric used to describe a metals conductivity as compared to the standard of copper.
First take a look below at pure metals conductivity ratings.
(1) OCC Pure Silver - 107%
(2) OCC Copper - 103%
(3) Copper (common grade) - 100%
(4) Gold - 73%
Silver is the best there is, in pure form, period.
If you take a 1"x 1"x 1" cube of pure silver and compare its conductivity to an identical 1"x 1"x 1" cube of gold, the gold is considered 32-35% less conductive than the pure silver.
An alloy, by definition, is less pure than the original pure metals it is comprised of. Alloys are in existence largely for strength / hardness properties and are not meant for high end audio cables. When you alloy a metal, say gold with silver, you quickly decrease its purity and IACS rating. Even at just 1% gold alloyed with silver the IACS rating drops down well below plumbing grade copper. Alloys in the audio world came about purely as competition increased and there was desperation for new ways to try and market a cable to the uneducated masses.
Norne Audio will always utilize the purest form of a metal and will always use pure silver occ litz, pure copper occ litz, spc occ litz or mixes thereof. Our goal is the design that possesses the absolute top specifications of the highest possible quality.
